The West End MapRun round concluded last night with another hot evening. Five people managed a clean sweep of all 22 controls though Colin and Simon dropped down the results due to time penalties. For Andy, it was on his second attempt so that left Paul and David to race it out at the top with David having the edge this time. The top three results all had much the same route showing that route choice matters.
In the overall League results, the battle for third place is very much on. Matthew's third place at West End now means he's level pegging with James in fourth place. They're just two points behind Paul though Paul has the potential to drop his lower score from Oliver's Battery as it's the best five results to count.
Next stop for the League is Riverside Park/Townhill Park courtesy of Paul. My top tip for this one: make sure you look at the contours! The social event will be on Thursday 6th July at the Hop Inn. Run at 6:30 and pub from 7:30 pm.
