Join us for a local event with courses for all skills, ages and abilities.
If you are new to orienteering or new to the club or just want to talk about how to progress with your orienteering, one of our coaches will be on hand to help.
Enter by 27th April to guarantee your choice of course. Late entries will be allowed but limited to the number of maps available. Entries on the day, EOD, available if maps allow. Click on the button below to enter:
Courses
Easy (Yellow) - 2.2km, 40m climb (controls are all on paths/close to, accessible with a sturdy/off-road pushchair)
Medium (Orange) - 2.7km, 70m climb (controls are just off paths)
Hard (Green) - 5.2km, 235m climb
Map and Course Notes
Be aware that you may come across small paths that have recently been formed and are not on the map. On the Yellow course smiley faces have been used on 1 leg to indicate the correct path.
There are many mountain bike tracks. Take care crossing them and do not run along them. This affects all courses.
QECP is very steep in places - please take care on both the Orange and Green courses.
This park is used for many different activities - please be considerate to other park users.

Registration: 10:00 - 12:15
Starts : 10:00 - 12:30
Courses close: 14:00
Start at any time. If you have your own SI Dibber you may go straight to the start.
Start and Finish located within 250m of event centre.
Cost
Senior: £3.50
British Orienteering non-member supplement: £1.00
Senior Chip hire: £1.00
Senior Enhanced Chip hire: £2.00
Junior: £1.50
Junior Chip hire: £0.00
Juniors are under 21 on 31st December.
There will be a charge for lost timing chips of £32 (£68 for Enhanced - SIAC)
Location, travel and parking
The event takes place at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Gravel Hill, Horndean, PO8 0Q
Directions to Juniper car park and event centre - Proceed past the first car park and visitors centre and follow signs for 'Juniper' trail and car park. Which is at the top of the hill past all other car parks and tracks. Toilets situated at this car park.
Pay at the machines before you exit.
Up to 2 hours £5, up to 4 hours £8, and full day £9.50.
