Location and Parking.

Fleming Park, with free parking at Pavilion on the Park, 1 Kingfisher Rd, Eastleigh, SO50 9LH.

This is a very busy car park for Park Run up to 1000hrs. Alternative free parking available at Leisure centre

Registration and Download.

Situated in the car park, look for the EMIT-UK van.

Start and Finish all in close proximity.

Timing

Registration: 10.30 – 12.15

Starts: 10.30 – 12.30

Courses close: 14.00

Start at any time. If you have your own SI Dibber you may go straight to the start.

Map and Terrain.

1:5000 on A4 waterproof paper. 5m contours.

Parkland, (plus adjacent suburban areas on hard course only).

Fleming Park is based on an old golf course, with some wide rides, all of which have paths along them 

and the Monks Brook stream that runs north to south through the area. Most of the wooded areas are runnable.

Only the hard course goes outside the park. Please take care when crossing any roads.

Full body cover is advised on the hard course.

Facilities.

Enquiries, hire card issue, key drop and first aid.

Toilets are in the Pavilion on the Park.

Hazards.

The Monks Brook stream must only be crossed using the bridges.

The emergency contact number will be printed on the map.

All competitors MUST report to download even if retiring from the event.

Lone competitors are recommended to leave car keys or a valuable item at Registration.

Orienteering is a physically challenging sport. Competitors take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety.

Dogs.- This area is very popular with the public for dog walking.

You are welcome to bring your dog but it must be kept under control at all times. Please do not run with more than 1 dog and give priority to other runners at control sites. 

Dog owners are liable and responsible for any situation involving their dog.
