Some very sad news

Profile picture for user Colin Hicks
By Colin Hicks , 13 April, 2010

Some of you are already aware of the death of Dave Subbs of BKO at the JK Sprint event at Bicton College.

Dave was competing when he collapsed and died, see http://www.bko.org.uk/content/some-very-sad-news

SOC members will probably know Dave's wife Katy, who was instrumental in getting BOC2009 on Hampton Ridge back on course, when threatened with not happening at all. Our thoughts are with her at this time.

Any member wanting the funeral details please contact me.

Harvester Overnight Relays. 8-9 May, Eridge Park, Tunbridge Wells.

By Robin Smith , 10 April, 2010

If anyone (besides me and Phil Cooper) is interested in attending this annual event please let me know asap. There are 2 courses - A (7 legs; 3 night, 1 dawn, 3 daylight) and B (5 legs; 2 night, 1 dawn, 2 daylight).  We may or may not be competitive depending on who wants to come!    Let me know your preference (s) - long, short, night, or day. Thank you. Closing date for entries is 1st May.  There is also a 'chasing sprint' on the Saturday afternoon at Hargate Forest (3km north of Eridge), and a regional event at Eridge after the Harvester has finished.     Pre-entry required for these. Robin Smith
